ARH 209 Commercial Air Conditioning Systems 4 credits

Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to identify large cooling systems used in commercial, institutional and industrial applications. Types of equipment include reciprocating and centrifugal chillers, absorption systems, cooling towers, fans and air handlers. Topics also include psychrometrics, pressure-enthalpy diagrams and commercial load calculations. (3 lecture hours and 2 laboratory hours)

Prerequisite: ARH 101, ARH 105 and ARH 107
