CNC 160 Hardening the Infrastructure 3 credits

This course begins with an in-depth look at TCP/IP, performing volumes of packet captures and performing analysis. The course focuses on securing Linux and Windows computers, followed by details on securing routers and the creation of Access Control Lists. The course includes a detailed discussion of the structure of the Internet, the WWW and security issues associated with being online. The course looks at attack techniques on the various Operating Systems. This course is designed to be far more than a course filled with theory; this course is packed with hands-on tasks to use the skills and technologies discussed in the text. (2 lecture hours and 2 laboratory hours)
