FRE 202 Intermediate French II 4 credits

This course, which completes the Intermediate French sequence, continues with a balanced approach to review and further develops the four key language skills. Reading emphasizes listening and speaking skills as it stresses increasing awareness of language patterns and vocabulary growth. Selections are made from a broad range of reading materials, and the cultural context is underlined. Writing, as it evolves naturally from the other three language skills, is focused on the continued development of confident, correct usage. Examples from a broad range of materials serve as patterns to master and manipulate. The language lab is a very important extension of the classroom program. The language lab supports classwork and extends it in the cultural context. Only French is spoken in class. R (3 lecture hours and 2 laboratory hours) IAI: H1 900
