SPA 101 Elementary Spanish I 4 credits
This course provides training in the basic conversational skills: listening to the spoken language with understanding, correct pronunciation and intonation and the oral use of actual speech patterns necessary for effective communication. Once the aural-oral skills have been firmly established, the basic language structure is presented through reading and composition exercises that focus on the Hispanic world. The language lab reinforces skill development and provides for individualization. R (3 lecture hours and 2 laboratory hours)
