Job Search Assistance

The Office of Career Development Services, located in the Student Services area of Menard Hall, maintains the LLCC Job Opportunities Newsletter, a monthly list of part-time and full-time employment opportunities. Jobs are also posted on the Job Bulletin Board across from the office and on the college Web site. Brochures on employment opportunities in various businesses and government agencies are available, as well as pamphlets and printouts on various aspects of the job-search process. Students interested in receiving pay and academic credit for temporary work assignments can inquire about the Cooperative Education Work Study Program (see below).

The office also provides assistance with cover letter and resume writing techniques, interviewing skills, job search techniques and good business etiquette. A computer lab is available for job search purposes and resume writing.
