Partnerships for College and Career Success (PCCS) Articulation Agreements
Lincoln Land Community College has entered into inter-district PCCS articulation agreements with 38 high schools, Capital Area Career Center, Illinois School for the Visually Impaired and Illinois School for the Deaf.
PCCS is a program which provides career pathways to high school students. The pathways provide both academic and technical preparation related to today's work force, and guide students from their high school curriculum through an associate in applied science degree (four-year options are also available). The curriculum pathways also include work-based learning experiences in specific career fields through coordination of area businesses and educators.
PCCS offers:
- A way to earn proficiency college credits while in high school if learning outcomes are achieved
- A solid foundation of rigorous academic and technical courses
- A clear pathway to follow with students individual career plans
- More efficient use of students' time
- An introduction to the workplace
- Flexibility to explore various options for careers
- Direct connection to post-secondary education
- Information on new and emerging jobs
- Exposure to high-paying careers through job shadowing and internships
