CNC 265 Enterprise Security Solutions 3 credits

This course discusses the needs and requirements of building a trusted network. The course moves into an examination of Certificate Policies and Certificate Practice Statements, key to the planning and design of a trusted network. The course walks through the procedures of configuring Microsoft and Linux CAs, stand-alone and as the root and moves into the management of digital certificates, including their use and configuration on Smart Cards. Next, the course examines the procedures available for securing local resources, including encryption and biometrics. (2 lecture hours and 2 laboratory hours)
