CSC 276 Computer Organization 3 credits

This course analyzes the structure and organization of the hardware components of a computer (such as memory, CPU and I/O modules). Digital logic is used as a tool to understand addressing and transfer and control of data. Some assembly language is used to illustrate the concepts, and microprogramming and RISC architectures are considered. (3 lecture hours)

Prerequisite: CSC 176 with grade of C or better
