CTC 120 Micro Operating Systems for End Users 3 credits

This is the first in a series of courses covering a desktop operating system. This introductory class provides training in using computers with the Windows desktop operating system. The major components of a computer operating system, terminology, operating system command structure and related utilities are integrated throughout the course. This is a hands-on course designed as an introduction to the use of the operating system, the interface between the computer applications and the computer hardware. This knowledge increases productivity in using the personal computer, serves as a basis for other computer curriculums and allows for more effective management of the computer's resources.
