FST 201 Hazardous Materials for the First Responder 3 credits
Topics of this course include properties of chemically active and hazardous materials, flammable liquids, combustibles, solids, oxidizers, corrosive materials and radioactive compounds, as they apply to a first responder at the scene. Emphasis is placed on identification, labeling, storage, handling, disposal and firefighting. R, W1, (2 lecture hours and 2 laboratory hours)
