OTA 204 Occupational Therapy Assistant Fieldwork II/Practicum II 4 credits

This course provides supervised clinical experience in an occupational therapy setting. The setting differs from the setting in which OTA 202 was completed. Occupational therapy assistant students apply concepts and skills learned in prior and concurrent coursework, and build on knowledge and skills developed in OTA 202. Students participate in all aspects of the occupational therapy process, including assessment, intervention planning, intervention and documentation. Students are in a clinical setting for eight hours per day, three days a week. R, W2, M2 (8 laboratory hours)

Prerequisite: OTA 210 with a grade of C or better

Corequisite: OTA 203
