CHE 101 General Chemistry I 4 credits
This is the first course in a two-semester sequence. Topics covered include measurements, matter, chemical formulae, empirical formulae, chemical equations, stoichiometry, atomic structure, electron configuration, periodic table, molecular geometry, gas laws, enthalpy and calorimetry. Prerequisite: MAT 096 with a minimum grade of C or appropriate placement score and one year high school chemistry or CHE 100.
