COS 218 Legal Office Correspondence 3 credits

This course provides students with hands-on experience keying a variety of legal office documents using one of the current word processing packages standard in the industry. Students learn legal terminology, compose letters and memoranda related to various legal documents and apply basic letter-writing and document-processing skills to produce correspondence in the correct formats. Students also learn electronic file management and how legal documents are filed. R, 12 (2 lecture hours and 2 laboratory hours)
