ELT 250 PC Troubleshooting and Repair 2 credits

This is an advanced ELT course to provide students with the knowledge and tools necessary to design and upgrade as well as repair PC type computers. All subsystems of the PC are covered, and readily available software is used to simplify locating the problem areas. The laboratory experiments provide students with the familiarity required to locate and repair defective computer components. Simple computer test equipment is used to repair by replacing subsystems. 12 (1.5 lecture hours and 1.5 laboratory hours)
