BIO 175 Human Anatomy and Physiology I 4 credits

This course is the first half of a two-semester human anatomy and physiology course sequence designed to fulfill the needs of students in the allied health career programs. Early emphasis is on introductory biochemistry, general cytology and histology. The systems covered include: integumentary, skeletal, muscular, and nervous. Laboratory dissections of preserved adult cats are used to illustrate comparisons with human morphology. R, 11 (3 lecture hours and 2 laboratory hours)

Prerequisite: High school biology with a minimum grade of B or BIO 101 with a minimum grade of C or BIO 111 with a minimum grade of C within the past five years
