Program Information:
- Electroneurodiagnostic Technology is the scientific field devoted to the recording and study of the electrical activity of the brain and nervous system
- This program prepares students to work independently as an END technologist. Graduates are eligible to apply to take the national registration examinations
- Career cluster includes: END technologist in a hospital lab, clinic, research facility and physicians' offices
- This program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) Committee on Accreditation for Education in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology (CoA-END).
- The first semester of this program begins in June.
- This program of study must be taken in its entirety to meet degree requirements.
- Faculty of the School of END Technology teach the END courses at St. John's Hospital. General education courses are taught at LLCC.
Admission Requirements:
- Submit application and fee to St. John's Hospital School of ENDT.
- Submit to LLCC admission worksheet if not a current student.
- One to two page essay explaining interest in END
- Three professional letters of recommendation from employers and/or instructors.
- A personal interview following receipt of completed application.
- Applicants are scored on scholastic ability; goals statement; evidence of maturity, emotional stability and work experience; and personal interview.
- High school or college GPA of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale. GED scores of at least 2250 with no individual score below 450. Interested individuals who do not meet this requirement must compelte PSY 101, COM 111 or COM 104 and HLT 205 with a grade of C or better.
- Take the LLCC placement test. Schedule by calling 786.2211 for test times and dates. See section in catalog called "Evaluation of Student Skills and Placement Testing" for details concerning students not needing to take the placement test.
- English (completed equivalent to COM 099)
- Reading skills (level at which no remediation is required)
- Application and admission to the Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program is conducted on a limited enrollment basis and is a separate procedure from application and admission to LLCC.
- Following acceptance into the program, students are required to have:
- A health assessment performed at the student's expense
- Documentation of immunizations
- A criminal background check performed at the student's expense
- Students are involved in 1260 contact hours of clinical experience during the two-year program
- Electroneurodiagnostic students must earn a grade of C or higher in all required END and HLT courses to remain in the program. Students have the right to apply for readmission to the program based on program admissions committee action and space availability. Only one readmission is allowed.
