RAD 101 Foundations of Radiologic Technology 2 credits

Students become oriented to the profession of radiologic technology and the imaging process. Topics emphasized in this course include patient relations, the basic principles of radiography and radiation safety, medical terminology, medicolegal issues, the history of radiography and the current health care environment. R, W1, M2 (2 lecture hours)

Prerequisite: Admission to the RAD program

Corequisite: RAD 102 and RAD 103
