HLT 205 Human Anatomy and Physiology I 4 credits

HLT 205 is the first half of a two-semester human anatomy and physiology course sequence designed to fulfill the needs of students in the allied health career programs. Early emphasis is on introductory biochemistry, general cytology and histology. The systems covered include: integumentary, skeletal, muscular and nervous. Student dissections of preserved adult cats in the laboratory are used to illustrate comparisons with human morphology. R (3 lecture hours and 2 laboratory hours)

Prerequisite: BIO 101 with a minimum grade of C, BIO 107 with a minimum grade of C or BIO 111 with a minimum grade of C taken within the past five years or an appropriate score on the HLT 205 prerequisite waiver exam taken within the past five years
