Program Information:

Admission to the Program:

Pre-Application Requirements: These requirements must be completed before applications can be considered.

  1. Attend an information session given on campus by the RAD director. The Associate Degree Radiography program has limited enrollment and student selection criteria are covered in detail at the information session. Dates of information sessions may be obtained from the Admissions and Records Office, 786.2296.
  2. Send ACT test results to the LLCC Admissions and Records Office: ACT minimum composite score of 20, with no section less than 15 OR complete each non-program degree course with a minimum grade of C (EGL 101, EGL 102, HLT 109, BIO 175, BIO 176, POS 101)

Admission Requirements:

  1. Submit the LLCC admission application if not a current student.
  2. Take the LLCC placement test and demonstrate placement out of EGL 099. If the ability is not demonstrated, the courses of EGL 098 and/or EGL 099 must be successfully completed.
  3. Take the LLCC placement test and demonstrate placement out of RDG 099. If the ability is not demonstrated, the courses of RDG 098 and/or RDG 099 must be successfully completed.
  4. Take the LLCC placement test and demonstrate placement out of MAT 094 and MAT 096 ability. If this ability is not demonstrated, the courses MAT 094 and/or MAT 096 must be successfully completed before entering the program.
  5. Graduate from high school or have a GED certificate. Have high school transcripts sent to the LLCC Admissions and Records Office.
  6. Have a 2.5 GPA or better for all previous college courses. Have college transcripts sent to the LLCC Admissions and Records Office.
  7. Have completed with a grade of C or better:
    • Two years of high school algebra (MAT 096) OR one year of high school algebra and one year of high school geometry
    • Two years high school science (biology, chemistry, or physics) or two of the following: College BIO 101, CHE 100, PHY 100. BIO 175, BIO 176 also count if taken prior to acceptance.
  8. Certification as a certified nursing assistant or emergency medical technician (basic) is strongly recommended but not required.
