COS 130 Fundamentals of Medical Science II 3 credits

This course is the second of two courses introducing medical terminology and anatomy/physiology for health care professionals. COS 130 presents medical terminology in its proper context, including general information on hospital procedures and laboratory tests, prescribed drugs and their uses and surgical terminology. Topics include these systems: male genitourinary, female reproductive and endocrine. Also studied are eyes, ears, nose, throat, psychiatry, oncology, radiology and nuclear medicine. (3 lecture hours)
